Pretty quiet on the RV Camping Front

Busy with life's chores. Hope to get out there and do some quality camping with my buddies. Cold rainy spring so far in Atlanta but finally warming up nicely. Let's go CAMPING !!!

Ready for the new season

Well spring hopefully is on it's way and I declare my van in good shape and ready for the season. 

Had a minor repair plus an oil change and gas filter change and now it's running as well as it's ever been before.

I came up with a new name  Van Diesel  :)

I recently drove about 150 miles and came in at a solid 15 mpg.   Not too bad considering the size and weight of the vehicle.   Diesel is currently 3.86 a gallon so  I'm hoping to have the patience to drive 55 mph this season instead of my previous 62. 

I've also logged a few hours on the interior, constantly re-arranging and adding and removing items.

I spent some big money on a Olympian Wave 6 propane heater as the little Coleman wasn't quite getting the job done.  Anyone who knows me knows I don't like the cold.

Anyway...   That's me in my nut shell  :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Long time no post, Not much news to report in my life.  Busy with work and taking care of my mother's health issues.   Taking the rig up to Ellijay tomorrow to check out my fifth wheel.

I continue to winterize it for the cold weather.  Don't plan to spend much time up there this winter as I really don't like the cold.  Bring on Global warming !!!    Kidding...   Best to all

Little place in the mountains.

Much to my surprise I picked up a little place up in the North GA mountains near Ellijay.  It's a very small piece of land that I own with a 2002 30 ft  fifth wheel on it.   It's very comfortable and I hope to get a lot of use out of it.  Will be the perfect home base when  I'm able to travel.

Very affordable and a nice view.  Bella and Gracie seem to like it ?

Rain Rain and more Rain

Had a couple of long wonderful downpours in camp this weekend.  Nice to sit dry and comfortable in my rig and watch mother natures beauty.   Glad I'm not a tenter.

                                                 

                                                                      

Brake Job

My rear brakes were leaking fluid so I had them both re-done with all new parts and new Drums.  Super heavy duty stuff and not cheap.   Hopefully no brake problems ever again  !!
